Id like to share a very comic incident that happened last evening while i was surfing through a Mall with a friend.
We were roaming around while my friend (Shraddha) happened to see an offer on a pack of 2 Maggi Soups. They were offering a cute plastic container free if we were to buy the soup offer. As far as I know Shrads, she's not a kind who would buy stuff just as smthg was offered for free untill she really liked it and the soup pack was also a healthy bet to go for. Hence she made up her mind and asked the sales girl for the flavour she wanted and she was shown the offer pack with a free yellow container. Hummm....YELLOW container !!!
Thats where the problem started. She wanted the red colour not the yellow hence insisted the sales girl to find her one - but it was out of stock. Hence without discussing the issue any further we moved ahead with the Yellow jar as it was also cute enough.
As we moved just few feet ahead I spotted a shopping trolley lying unattended on a side. And somehow (you may call it destiny) my eyes could spot the red jar and also the same flavour that Shrads wanted (destiny!!!).
I Immediately stopped her and drew her attention to the same.
We both glanced at each other as if wanting to say "are you thinking what Iam thinking too". Haahaaa... I said why dont we swap our stuff ??
Shrads had her eyes wide open (as if saying No!!! how can we do that - yet her heart wanting to do the same)...
I thought to myself...we generally leave a trolley aside only when its too full to carry around and park it aside to carry it towards the pay counter later after we've done with the rest of our shopping. But that trolley had hardly 10 items in it hence we cud easily spot the red container we wanted. It felt as if someone had abandoned it by will. That thought further fed my desire to swap our stuff. There was a middle aged couple who came near the trolley (we thought it was theirs) so we freezed for a while but they passed away in a few seconds after glancing through the nearby products.
Now started the ordeal...who wud to the crime...who wud go first... after a few deep breaths I went ahead without wasting anymore time... pulled the red jar out and took the yellow jar in Shrads hand as if trying to compare the stuff to show a casual behavior...and swiftly dropped the yellow jar in the trolley and sped away from the scene asap. We both had butterflies in our stomach for a while...though we just cudn't stop looking at each other and laughing our hearts out... Im having a wide smile even while typing this out....hehhee !!
I still feel it was a Goodwill shoplifting as I made my friend happy :)
Shrads do you ave anything to add in here...incase I missed something??
My only worry is that I hope the person who's trolley it was doesn't read this posting... orelse..hahaaa...
Anyways if you do read it please find your red jar with shraddha not me !!! LOL :-D..Psss!!!
